Guild Activities |

Calico Cutters Quilt Guild is honored to participate in the following charitable activities: · Monetary donation to The Chester County Domestic Violence Center with proceeds from our bi-annual raffle quilt and auction. Also provide the Center with over 100 quilts annually to give to every child in their program. · Donation August 2007 of 130 fully supplied, hand-made book bags to Chester County Head Start Program. · Donation of over 100 Baby Bundles containing handmade receiving blankets, onesies, and baby toiletries to Jennersville Hospital in southern Chester County for distribution to needy families. · Hat and Scarf Project, 140 sets of hand made hats and scarves, for the Upper Darby Homeless Shelter. · Donation September 2007 of over 1700 hand-made pillowcases to the www.conkerrcancer.org project for oncology patients area pediatric hospitals. · Donation October 2007 of over 400 pink pillowcases for breast cancer patients to Paoli Hospital. · Patriotic quilt donations to Quilts of Valor, dedicated to presenting a red, white and blue quilt to all wounded soldiers. Ongoing effort—monthly donations welcome. · Donation of walker caddies, adult bibs and BINGO prizes to the Fair Acres Geriatric Center. · Recent donation of 37 wall hanging to Chester County Habitat for Humanity for their annual fundraising auction.

Cookbooks Calico Cutters Quilt Guild published a beautiful cookbook last year and we have a few left for sale. There are nearly 400 recipes in the cookbook all contributed by our members. The cookbook is a 3 ring binder style, very sturdy. A special feature are the quilts created especially for the cookbook and pictured on dividers for each section of the cookbook.
